Glenn's Great Big Book of Integers

Grade 7 Integers.

Chapter 1
Zero Pairs can be used to solve problems with positive and negative numbers.

'When subtracting and isn't there use a Zero Pair'

A) -3 - (-7) = -4

B)-3 -7= -10

C) 3 - 7= -4

D) 3 + 7= 10

E) -3 + 7=4

Chapter
2
Today we finally learned how to multiply integers.
These are some of the examples we did in our class.

1)(+2)x(+3) = +6
2)(+2)x(-3) = -6
3)(-2)x(+3) = -6

4)(-2)x(-3) = +9
Sign Rule
Odd- When you have an even number of negative factors the product is positive.

Even- When you have an odd number of negative factors the product is positive.

Chapter 3

Dividing Integers
A) 6/2 = 3
3 GROUPS

B) (-6)/(-2) = +3

3 GROUPS

C) (-6)/2 = -3

Chapter 4

(+5) x (-3) + (-6) / (+3) = ?

To answer this question we have to use BEDMAS.

(+5) x (-3) + (-6) / (+3) =
(-15) + (-6) / (+3) =
(-15) + (-2) =
-17
