Kevin's Sesame Street Video Post

The people in my group were Richard, Tyler, and me.

Rate - Compares two quantities measured in different units.
Example - 72 beats per minute or 75 beats/min is a rate.

Ratio - Part to Part Ratio compares different parts of the group to each other.
Example - A's to B's which is 3 to 4

Proportional Reasoning - A relation ship the says that two ratios or two rates are equal.
Example - How much will 12 erasers cost if 3 erasers cost 75 cents?

So 12 eraser cost 300 cents or $ 3.00.

Sadly, Neither me, Richard , or Tyler could find the video on YouTube.

So here's the link

Now here's the fun part :P, a video of me and Tyler's horrible acting.

Rate - Compares two quantities measured in different units
Example - $1.09 per 100g or $1.69/100g

Ratio - Two term ratio compares two quantities measured in the same units
Example - 7:20 or 7 to 20

Proportion Reasoning - A relationship that says that two ratios or two rates are equal
Example - $3.00/12 erasers

Ratio

Two term ratios: compares two quantities measured in the same units
eg: triangles to circles 2:5

Three term ratios: compares three quantities measured in the same units
eg: triangles to circles to squares 1:5:3

Part to part ratio: compares different parts together
eg: triangles: rectangles 3:7

Part to whole ratio: compares one part to the whole group
eg: 1:34

RATE
Rate compares two quantities measured in different units
eg Tina can walk 100 steps/1 minute

Unit rate is when a second term is one
eg Tina walks 200 steps/2minutes

Unit price is a rate used when shopping
eg 0.99 c/ 100 g of rice

Proportional Reasoning
Proportional reasoning is when it says to rates or two ratios are equal
eg 2:4 1:2

Sesame Street Video: The Ratio Song

Group: Cathlene, Olivia, Lizelle

Ratio - compares two or more quantities measured in the same unit
eg. apples to oranges, 2:3

Rate - compares two quantities measured in different units
eg. $8.00/ hr

Proportion - the relationship that says two ratios or rates are equal
eg. 1/2 = 2/4

This is the original video that we re-made.

This is our version of the video. :)

Errol's Sesame Street Video

A ratio compares two quantities measured in different units.
Ex. 3:12 three glasses of milk to twelve cookies

A rate compares quantities measured in different units.
Ex. 3/mph three miles per hour

Proportional Reasoning is a relationship that says that two ratios or two rates are equal.
Ex. 3/12 = 6/24

Two Term- Compares 2 quantities.
Example. A:B

Three Term-Compares three quantities.
Example. A:B:C

Part to Part- Compares 2 parts of a whole.
Example. 2:3 23233

Part to Whole- Compares 1 part to a whole.
